A quick reel (how ironic as they take me ages!!!) A quick reel (how ironic as they take me ages!!!) of recent nettle dyeing 🌿✨
The yellow colour comes first and then to get the green we do a modifier of 1% iron.

A morning of being a tourist!
This morning Fred and I climbed up the old man of storr. The walk is literally 10 minutes from our house and we both kept remarking ‘why do we not come up here more often?!’
It was truly stunning and lovely to walk in the shoes of the islands visitors. How nice to see this view and then visit @isleofskyenaturaldyeco 10 minutes up the road and squish some yarn! 💛

I love working with this plant so much.
My wonderful herbalist Jean Dow describes nettles as:
“A nourishing powerhouse. Known for her mineral and vitamin content. Physically restorative bringing protection and resilience against disease.”
Wearing these socks is going to be a truly nourishing experience! 🌱✨🙏
